A biocomposite is a product made up of two or more constituents that are combined to produce a new material with enhanced performance over the individual constituents.
Depending on our users’needs, BIOBAS develops different types of biocomposites made with waste obtained from the agro-industrial chain.
BIOBAS biocomposite materials are manufactured from waste products such as feathers, hazelnut shells, cocoa shells, pine nuts, cellulose, etc., which are combined with biodegradable polymers such as PBAT, PLA, PBS, PVA, and PHA, among others.
The BIOBAS resins can be used for different applications and are suitable for any plastic transformation process: from injection moulding to 3D printing. Areas of application click here.
